Adult Training

Adult Training

Classes and lessons are the main training opportunities for adult players with our club. Infrequently, we may host special guest clinics and events with top coaches from outside the area as well.

Classes are small group based, with 4-6 players per court. Each class session will feature two courts of players. We like the small group atmosphere because we are able to give more attention and feedback to each player, while still having the flexibility to run drills requiring more players. This balance creates an excellent learning environment.

Quick Details:

  • Quality, small group instruction.
  • Feedback, advise and instruction.
  • Eight classes. One class per week for eight weeks.
  • A total of 16 hours of professional instruction.
  • Cost breaks down to only $12.50 per hour.

We offer classes for a wide range of skill levels:

  • Novice- Little, or no, formal playing experience. True beginners that need to gain fundamental knowledge in all aspects of the game.
  • Unrated/B- Unrated/B level players that have experience playing the game and have competed in tournaments. These players generally play a lot, but need instruction of the finer aspects of the fundamental skills and gameplay strategies.
  • B/A- Experienced players who compete in the B and A level tournaments.
  • A/AA- Advanced level of play. Players compete in A and AA level tournaments.

Before the start of each season, we will hold a mandatory orientation session for all players. During this session, players  and coaches are able to meet each other, and coaches are able to gain knowledge of player skill level. We will talk briefly about how the classes will run and take questions. We will follow the short informational period with playing. During this time, the players will be organized into their class groups. This helps us create class groups to be the best for teaching and learning. Our classes are small (groups of 4-6 per court, 2 courts), so ensuring compatibility between participants is important.
